Case Study: SquareSpace Website

Good As New: a website built to grow with a cleaning company.

About the Client

A UK emergency cleaning company supporting homes, landlords and businesses with urgent and specialist cleaning needs. The business began with general emergency and deep cleaning, then progressed into more specialist work including biohazard cleaning, after-death cleaning, hoarder clean-up and sewage-related cleaning.

A person in full protective gear, including a white coverall, face mask, goggles, and blue gloves, cleaning a black circular table with a cloth. The person is handling a spray bottle containing a cleaning solution.

“Good As New already had trust signals that mattered. Gaiaa gave reviews and service proof a clearer place in the website journey, close to the points where urgent visitors needed confidence before making contact.”

Amber, CEO of Good As New

From emergency cleaning to specialist biohazard support.

  • Emergency cleaning and rapid enquiries

  • Deep cleaning, commercial and domestic support

  • Biohazard, after-death, hoarder and sewage cleaning pages

  • Review areas, contact routes and web copy updates

The site did not need to look busy to feel capable. It needed to help urgent visitors understand what to do next.

A cleaning website that could keep up with the business.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Good As New was on the lookout for a website that felt practical, credible and easy to move through, especially for people searching during urgent, sensitive or specialist cleaning situations.

THE CHALLENGE

Urgent visitors needed clarity without a cluttered service website.

Emergency cleaning customers often arrive with a specific problem, a short window of time and a need to feel safe before they call. The website had to explain services quickly without becoming cold, generic or overwhelming.

As Good As New expanded, the original service list also became too small for the work being offered. Biohazard cleaning, after-death cleaning, hoarder clean-up, sewage cleaning and other sensitive services needed their own space, but adding them carelessly would have made the site feel patched together.

THE SOLUTION

Gaiaa created the site, the structure and the words.

The project was not only a Squarespace build. Gaiaa handled the website structure, service page flow, design direction and web copy, then updated the site as the company added more specialist services.

01

Squarespace build

A full website structure for an emergency cleaning company, built to feel credible and easy to update.

02

Service architecture

Clear routes for emergency, deep cleaning, biohazard and specialist services so visitors could self-identify faster.

03

Web copy

Homepage and service copy shaped around urgency, discretion, safety, property condition and what happens next.

04

Ongoing updates

New services, review areas and page changes added as the company progressed instead of forcing a rebuild.

Design was used to reduce panic instead of adding noise.

For this type of business, the strongest website is not the loudest one. It is the one that helps a stressed visitor understand the service, trust the company and find the right next step.

  • Service groups kept distinct so biohazard cleaning did not disappear inside general cleaning.

  • Sensitive copy avoided generic “sparkling clean” language and focused on safety, discretion and response.

  • Reviews and proof areas were planned near enquiry points rather than treated as decoration.

  • Squarespace editing stayed practical so new pages could be added when the business changed.

The site did not need to look busy to feel capable. It needed to help urgent visitors understand what to do next.

STRATEGIC DIRECTION

THE OUTCOME

A clearer website for a business with more serious services.

Good As New moved from a simple cleaning-business presence to a service-led Squarespace website with room to grow. The company could add specialist services without making the site feel crowded, and the copy gave visitors more specific answers before they made contact.

Better service clarity

Visitors could understand whether they needed emergency, general or specialist cleaning support.

Stronger trust signals

Review areas and service proof were planned around the moments where visitors needed confidence before enquiring.

Website care in action

The site could be updated as the company expanded, instead of becoming another outdated brochure.

WHY THIS MATTERED

In sensitive service industries, the website has to earn trust quickly.

A visitor may be dealing with a flood, a difficult property condition, a bereavement, contamination, waste, odour or a commercial problem that needs fast action. The site needs to be easy to trust before the first call or message.

That is why this project was about more than making a cleaning website look better. The goal was to help Good As New present the right kind of confidence: practical, discreet, responsive and ready to grow.
